Growing fruit

Over the years we've grown a fair bit in our little backyard fruit orchard. We've already harvested strawberries, blueberries and raspberries (who said you can't grow these in a subtropical climate!) We also have arabica coffee and cumquat fruits and pineapples growing along strongly.

The only unfortunate thing is most fruits do take at least a couple of years before you can start harvesting them. But we're in the long term, right?

Also growing in our little orchard is:

  • Acerola (Barbados cherry)

  • Avacado

  • Black sapote

  • Blood orange (on dwarf stock)

  • Chillean Guava

  • Ice Cream Bean

  • Indian Guava

  • Jaboticaba

  • Emperor mandarin (on dwarf stock)

  • Meyer lemon (on dwarf stock)

  • Passionfruit

  • Pineapple Cherry Guava

  • Rockmelon

  • Watermelon

  • White sapote

So keep coming back, and we'll add a lot more useful, practical and interesting information about our backyard fruit orchard.
